This was exactly what I needed. After a difficult summer and fall, I needed a perfect day like this. I don’t think I could have picked a better day and a better location as far as fall colors are concerned. The yellows and oranges were popping… no, exploding… and the compositions were as plentiful as they were radiant. Only downside was the more than gloomy weather, but I’m not sure I would have survived a trifecta of a perfect location, perfect timing, and perfect light. It was overwhelming enough as it was.
Chances are this was my only real fall photography outing. The season is short, and bad weather and a busy schedule are looming. But if this was it, I will be more than happy.
